Starz Magic City Premieres

A friend and former co-worker, Rick Alexander worked on a new TV series for Starz called Magic City.

The drama is set in 1959 Miami Beach. The main character, Ike Evans, owns a luxury hotel and the action revolves around a large cast and all the current events of that time and place – the Cuban Revolution, the Kennedys, the Mob and more.

Rick was audio technician for the production.

Watch the premier this Friday on Starz or watch three episodes online here.

Premiere Pro Works for Me

I’m sold on Adobe products. They’re not perfect but for low-budget creators, they work. I’ve never had the funds to buy Apple computers.  Because of that I’ve had to seek out hardware and software that works on a restricted budget.  Here’s a video from Adobe that talks about software used to create Martin Scorsese’s film Hugo.

Wonderful Experience

I just finished up a video production job for Bob Kodzis and what a wonderful time it was.  Bob is a positive and creative speaker and performer.  He presents keynote addresses, facilitates meetings and helps bring the creativity out in others.

I met Bob at the Orlando World Marriott on August 10 where he was presenting his address called Ready for Anything to the Florida League of Mayors.  Out of that hour long speech we got 22 short stand-alone video clips and produced one 5 minute featurette.

If your company or group is looking for someone to speak who brings a positive, creative and entertaining message, you’ve got to hire Bob Kodzis. You’ll have a wonderful time.

Reach him at 407-234-4522 or visit his site at: http://flightofideas.net/Home/home.html

Craigslist Ad

I just created the best Craigslist ad I’ve ever seen. They did break some of my formatting, but overall, pretty good.

Show the Product

The power of video is that you can show prospective and existing customers your product instead of just telling them about it. Howl Media Group can help you produce a short video that explains how to use your product. This can dramatically increase product usage for your customers.

Intro Video

I wanted to produce an introductory video for the front page that would be concise but compelling for first time visitors. I wanted it to be aimed at the business customer and show how video can help improve the bottom line. So visit the front page and check it out.

Video Player

I just spent two whole days trying to figure out a flash video player for this site. I finally got it. I learned how to figure pixels versus aspect ratio. Divide your chosen video width by 16, then multiply by 9 to get the height. I’ve been looking for this formula for years. Now I can load all the videos I need for my portfolio. Next step, script a dandy introductory video, shoot and edit and post it. WOW!

The Site’s Happening

I’ve been working on this site for a couple of days and it’s finally starting to come together.  Got a good start on the sidebar, the “Services” page, the “About” page and the “Contact” page.  Excuse me but I thought Contact form 7 had a Captcha addon to protect you from spam. I can’t find it.
